INTRODUCTION: Aesthetic principles and mechanical attributes have significantly shaped the
evolution of contemporary dental restorative materials. The smoothness of a dental restoration surface is
of great importance for its durability, as it mitigates concerns such as plaque retention, gingival
inflammation, and recurrent caries. The aim of the study is to assess the surface roughness and gloss of
calcium, copper and yttrium modified nanoparticles based composite resin after polishing.
