Richard Powers’ novels engage with global challenges and explore the intersection of technology,
nature and human experiences, touching on themes that are aligned with the sustainable development
goals. Powers work tends to cope up with the need to spread the awareness regarding the environmental
sustainability. Powers novels emphasize the ways in which technological advancements are entwined
with the natural world and how the characters experiences in the novel shape their approach to
environmental issues. The need of an hour is to understand that how humans might use technology in
harmony with nature to create a more sustainable future.
