Improving the energy efficiency of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) is crucial for sustainable operation. Therefore, this research explores new concepts of optimized dynamic routing protocols. In careful analysis and empirical comparisons, how could clustering techniques address the WSNs' heterogeneity peculiarities while accounting for energy preservation? This study suggests attractive directions to alleviate energy overheads and prolong the network lifetime, acknowledging the dynamic nature of WSNs.
