Abstract

The study focused on the isolation and structural characterization of a bioactive compound from the aerial parts of Phyllanthus niruri, a plant known for its medicinal properties. Ethyl acetate was used as the solvent for extraction, yielding a 5.7% recovery. Phytochemical screening of the extract revealed the presence of carbohydrates, flavonoids, phenols,
diterpenes, and proteins, while saponins, alkaloids, glycosides, sterols, and tannins were absent.
