In defining the purpose of the article, the author notes that in the mechanisms of forming historical memory, the example of a historical person, along with historical events, historical places, etc., occupies a special place, since great personalities, by their status, are the creators of history, historical events and historical scenes. When researching the topic, it was mainly based on those sources that, to a certain extent, are sufficiently studied from the perspective of other sciences, except for pedagogical. It was this motive that led the author to investigate the elements of pedagogical support for the process of forming historical memory
