The hippotherapy (assisted therapy by horses) is a program of physical therapy that uses the movements of the horse like a part of the treatment. In this therapy the horseman (rider) doesn't try to control the horse, so the patient doesn't need control the horse. The patient seats in the horse and adapts with automatic reactions to the three-dimensional movements of the horse when walks.
The benefits they get are not only in the physical plane (better circulation, tone and balance), but also in the psychological and social level, that means that multiple pathologies can benefit of these effects (Cerebral Paralysis, Down Syndrome...).
