Abstract

Background: Blood transfusion is an indispensable therapeutic intervention in modern internal medicine, playing a pivotal role in the management of acute hemorrhage, severe anemia, hematological disorders, malignancies, chronic kidney disease, and critically ill patients. Despite substantial advances in transfusion medicine, blood transfusion remains a high-risk clinical procedure because it involves multiple sequential processes that require strict adherence to evidence-based protocols.
