Background: Management of the difficult pediatric airway remains a major challenge in anesthesia and critical care because children possess unique anatomical and physiological characteristics that increase the risk of airway obstruction, hypoxemia, and failed intubation. Limited oxygen reserve, higher oxygen consumption, and anatomical variations such as a relatively large tongue, anterior larynx, and narrow airway contribute to rapid deterioration during airway manipulation
