Abstract

Background:.  Atopic diseases such as allergic rhinitis, asthma, and atopic dermatitis represent the most prevalent chronic disorders in children, significantly impairing quality of life and imposing a growing public health burden. Conventional therapy—including antihistamines, corticosteroids, and leukotriene receptor antagonists—offers symptomatic relief but fails to address the underlying immunologicdysfunction or modify the disease course. Allergen-specific immunotherapy (AIT) represents the only disease-modifying approach for allergicdiseases. Sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT), a modern, non-invasive form of AIT, has gained increasing attention for its safety, convenience, and
efficacy in pediatric populations.
