The Government of India has established various institutions for the development and rehabilitation of differently-abled persons in the country. As per the Disability Census 2011, differently abled persons constitute around 26.8 million, representing one of the largest minority groups in India (Census of India, 2011). Without adequate support and rehabilitation, a large portion of this human
resource remains untapped.
