Abstract

Despite the fact that equality is mentioned in the United States Constitution, it is evident that this
principle is not always adhered to. There is a large area where it is not in education. In the
Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson said that everyone has the inherent liberty to
pursue happiness in whichever way they see fit. Educational equality and educational adequacy
both link these two ideas. The degree of educational achievement gap differs between Western
cultures, according to a substantial body of comparative research.
