Abstract

Background: The aesthetic and mechanical properties of resin-based dental composites make them a popular choice for restorative dentistry. The longevity and efficacy of these materials are significantly influenced by the polymerization process. Elevated temperatures during the polymerization process can compromise the integrity of the tooth pulp and adjacent tissues. The enhancement of surface hardness and compressive strength signifies an elevation in the quality and longevity of aesthetic restorations achieved through laser application. The mechanical properties and thermal effects of dental composite polymers are examined in this study in relation to blue diode laser polymerization (405nm and 450nm).
