Abstract

Majority of global population up to 80 percent, relies on traditional medicine for their primary health care. In current phyto-therapy based medical practices, native medicinal plant/herbal extracts are employed to treat various disorders and diseases.  Their application is rapidly increasing due to their positive effects and furthermore recognized with low toxic side effects. Azadirachta indica (Neem) is a key medicinal plant with rich medicinal values. It is in cosmopolitan in distribution and belongs to the family of Meliaceae. In India its usage is very common in the native ethno traditional medicinal practices along with other medical practices 
too.
