Abstract

This systematic literature review examines the factors influencing women's entrepreneurial ecosystem, with a special emphasis on entrepreneurship development programs. Employing the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) methodology, a comprehensive search of the SCOPUS database to identify relevant studies has been conducted. The review is dedicated to gaining insights into the distinct challenges and opportunities encountered by women entrepreneurs in initiating and expanding their businesses. Theoretical frameworks such as the entrepreneurial ecosystem theory and gender-specific perspectives are used to analyze literature. The factors influencing women's entrepreneurial ecosystem are categorized into social and cultural, economic, institutional, policy and regulatory, access to resources, networking, and support systems. Special attention is given to the role of entrepreneurship development programs in supporting women entrepreneurs in India & worldwide.
