Abstract

All the motor acts that we can accomplish in a way involuntary or semiautomatic, are found in relationship and communication through the Extrapiramidal system, furthermore all the motor acts accomplished by the man are characterized by their extraordinary accuracy and coordination, which is procured by the proportional function of numerous muscular groups, directed not alone voluntaily but in a way automatic large part and thanks to the paper, not less important, of the multiple reflex mechanisms, they act automatically, and form part of the extrapiramidal system.
The knowledge of the structure of this complex system, as well as of its physiology and its physio¬
athology, it is of a great importance for the application of the Neurological physical therapy treat¬
ents, since the extrapiramidal route is found altered in a great number of neurological diseases that require Physiotherapy.
