SCOLIOSIS TREATMENT THROUGH POSTURAL REACTIONS PERIPHERALS CAUSED
Keywords:
Trisomy, scoliosis, evoked postural reaction.Abstract
The scoliotic patients with congenital psicomotor alterations do not always have access to treatment with therapeutical exercises with a kinesthetic-sensorymotor base since they look the needed control of the body scheme. We have developed a treatment inspired on purely reflex mechanisms, the hypothesis is based on postural reactions and the treatment base technique is called Peripheral Evoked Posture Exercise.
Through direct pressure on the concavity of the curve, a primary opposite reaction occurs on the subject and therapeutical possibilities arise as an option for treatment of scoliotic patients we show a program of exercises and their possible reactions with the case study of a scoliotic patient who suffers a partial trisomy of the ninth pair.
