THE CHILD WITH TRISOMY 21. CONSIDERATIONS ABOUT THEIR PSYCHOMOTOR DEVELOPMENT FOR EARLY INTERVENTION

The recent research studies carried out on mental deficiency show us that it can't be approached from just one point of view as a unique entity; but, on the contrary, it englobes very different and differentiated types, not only from the neuropathically, but also neuropsychological point of view. The «trisomia 21» includes different signs and symptoms which are specific, singular or exclusive that do not occur in other brain pathologies or can appear in a different proportion and, therefore, it sets a difference from other types of mental deficiency. With this study we try to limit its own characteristics that can help us intervene more efficiently in the early years of a child.
