Abstract

Background: Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) can impair emotional well-being, daily function, and educational participation. Female medical students may be vulnerable because menstrual symptoms occur within a setting of schedules, sleep disruption, assessment pressure, and a background burden of psychological distress.
