Abstract

The term temporomandibular disorder refers to dysfunction or pain involving one or both temporomandibular joints. The mandibular condyle, one of the structures that make up this joint, can be affected by the deterioration of the articular surfaces, leading to degenerative conditions classified as arthropathy.
