The aim of this article is to present a clinical case of a child diagnosed with anemia and phenylketonuria (PKU), experiencing affective-respiratory attacks (ARA) accompanied by prolonged episodes of asystole. Given the similarity in the kinetics of paroxysms to epileptic seizures and the identified regional epileptiform activity, a differential diagnosis was conducted to distinguish the
condition from epilepsy.
