Abstract

Siddha system of medicine, also known as Tamil Medicine, is an ancient Indian Medical System dating back approximately 10,000 years. It encompasses various disciplines and is rooted in fundamental principles. Six darshanams, or schools of Hindu philosophy, including Sangyam, Nyayam, Vaisedigam, Ogam, Mimamsam and Vedandam originated and flourished in India. The earliest among these is the Asevagam tradition, are the pioneers of modern Siddha medicine.
