Abstract

Background: Recent studies suggest that plasma haptoglobin (HP) is a diagnostic biomarker that may aid in disease assessment and risk stratification of patients with Ventricular septal defect and heart failure (HF). Aim: To investigate the diagnostic accuracy of plasma haptoglobin levels in children with VSD and HF. Methods: This case control study included 36 children diagnosed as Ventricular septal defect with or without heart failure.
