Abstract

Background: Oral drug delivery is preferred for its convenience, yet over 40% of new drugs are hydrophobic, complicating formulation. Nanosuspensions, submicron colloidal dispersions of poorly soluble drugs, offer a promising solution to enhance solubility and bioavailability. Objective: The purpose of this work was to create and assess the antibacterial activity of a clarithromycin nanosuspension against Salmonella typhi, Staphylococcus aureus, and Escherichia coli.
