Abstract

Bio-inspired nanomaterial synthesis has emerged as a revolutionary approach, mimicking
natural biological processes to develop environmentally sustainable and highly functional materials.
This review explores the principles, methodologies, and applications of bio-inspired nanomaterials,
focusing on their role in addressing critical environmental challenges. Key synthesis methods
employing microorganisms, plants, and enzymes are discussed, highlighting their eco-friendly and
cost-effective nature. The review categorizes nanomaterials, including metallic, carbon-based, and
polymer-based types, and delves into their applications in water purification, air pollution control, soil
remediation, and renewable energy.
