The United Nations (UN) Peacekeeping operations play a pivotal role in maintaining
international peace and security. In the contemporary inter-connected and globalized world, the
difference between local and global conflicts have been blurred, therefore, every conflict is
global, nothing local. Amid growing conflicts, the role of UN Peacekeeping is indispensable to
prevent any conflicts to become threat to international peace and security. The funding for the
peacekeeping is the one critical part to sustain it, however, it is one the most discuss and debatable
matters among the scholars, policy makers and member states.
