Background: Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) is a chronic autoimmune condition characterized by the destruction of pancreatic beta cells, leading to insulin deficiency and hyperglycemia. This metabolic disorder significantly impacts various physiological systems, including the female reproductive system. In student populations, particularly adolescent and young adult females, T1DM poses unique challenges to reproductive health. Research indicates that females with T1DM often experience delayed puberty and menarche.
