Abstract

The objective of the present study was to assess the quality of ground water on the basis of its physical and chemical properties. Ground water (hand pump) is an essential natural source of drinking water. For this purpose, Gurgaon, Hapur and Ghaziabad are the Locations from where all the samples were collected. They are listed as most polluted cities in the country. In this article we have included the latest research data of 2024, impact of pathogens and bacteria in drinking water and presence of Iron, lead, nitrates above acceptable limit. Underground water gets contaminated by the indirect ways like industrial waste, pesticides, insecticides, waste disposal in water bodies. This water should be treated before drinking and household purposes.
