Objective:
This study is going to explore the relationship between resilience, coping styles, social support, and PTG in young
persons with PTSD in Kashmir. It aims to find out the potential significance and the nature of these respective
psychological parameters for mental health treatments in victims of trauma.
Methods:
Quantitative as well as qualitative data was analyzed, in order to utilize both methods of research. The quantitative data
were obtained from structured self-completed questionnaire; PCL-5 for assessing the PTSD symptoms and resilience
measure. To establish the correlation between resilience, coping, social support and symptoms of PTSD, correlation tests
were run. Coping and resilience data were collected through semi-structured interviews, and analyzed thematically to
identify and describe sociocultural processes.
