Abstract

Background: Growing in tropical and subtropical regions of the world, Moringa oleifera is a tree whose leaves, seeds, bark, roots, and flowers are used as ingredients in food and medicine. Extracts from Moringa leaves have been found to contain antidiabetic compounds like flavonoid molecules; newer extraction methods like ultrasound and microwaves are substitutes to improve
the extraction performance of flavonoid compounds while maintaining their antidiabetic activity.
