Abstract

Osteosarcoma is the most common primary malignant bone tumor, characterized by the formation of osteoid or immature bone by malignant osteoblasts. While it predominantly affects long bones, its occurrence in the mandible is rare and presents unique clinical and surgical challenges. Mandibular osteosarcoma accounts for less than 5% of all osteosarcoma cases and often mimics benign conditions, leading to delayed diagnosis.
