Abstract

This article conducts an incisive exploration of Urmila Pawar’s autobiography, The Weave of My Life, through the analytical framework of Homi K. Bhabha’s postcolonial theory, particularly focusing on the concept of the “third space.” It delves into how Pawar’s autobiographical narrative serves as a manifestation of the liminal, hybrid spaces where diverse cultural identities intersect,
thereby fostering the emergence of new, dynamic forms of selfhood that subvert essentialist views.
