Abstract

Introduction: Pulse rate is the count of heartbeats per minute. It varies due to varied factors and conditions like obesity, diabetes, and other diseases. Normal adult pulse rate varies from 60-100 beats per minute. Pulse rate can be measured in various places of the body like a radial artery, carotid artery, and popliteal artery of the body. The throbbing effect is counted as beats that occur due to the pumping action of the left ventricle.
