Abstract

Introduction: Nowadays, both conventional and self-ligating brackets are commonly used in orthodontics. Their differences in design, however, makes them withstand different forces during orthodontic treatment. Advantages of self ligating system are reducing friction and treatment time in orthodontic mechanotherapy.
