Abstract

Introduction:-Hypertension is a persistent systemic blood pressure reading of 140/90 mm Hg or greater which is a known cause
of cardiovascular disease morbidity and mortality and Hypertensive heart disease is a major public health issue
worldwide.Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) pose a significant global health threat, claiming the lives of more than 50 million
people annually.Interventions designed to improve medication adherence, and blood pressure control have not been fully
effective globally.Despite decades of attention, noncompliance with HTN therapy is still a key cause in poor BP control. There is
limited comprehensive understanding regarding the level of drug adherence to antihypertensive medications particularly in our
country. Individual's risk of heart disease and stroke is increased due to uncontrolled blood pressure
