The different currents which were applied and the zosters of were revised, depending on the diagnostic given by the doctor in charge of her rehabilitation. This was done in a group of 196 pa¬
ients during March, April and May in 1997.
Several details were collected from the treatment cards as: age, sex, zoster of treatment and the current applied in each case.
An exhasustive stadistic tresearch has shown the following results:
1. The zoster nost treated was the cervical one (29,7 %) including in this percentage the cervi-co-dorsal (2,6 %) and the cervical-shoulder (0,5 %) zosters.
The currents most used were the interferencial ones (46,9 %).
The famele sex was the most treated (74 %). Due to this study, it has been confirmed that amongst, this group of patients which were assig¬
ed electrotherapy treatment is the woman who came more frecuently to the external consultation.
Most of the time, the main reason for the consultation is any cervival problem with rheumatic ori¬
in (cervicoarthrosis: 10,7 %).
