Article Processing Charges

Cuestiones de Fisioterapia is committed to providing high-quality, peer-reviewed content freely accessible to the global community. As an open access journal, we rely on Article Processing Charges (APC) to cover the extensive editorial and production costs associated with publishing. These charges apply only after the acceptance of an article for publication.

APC Structure:

  • Funded Articles: If your research is funded by an institution, company, or external grant, an APC of USD 1599 is required. Funded articles often have access to a budget specifically set aside for publication costs, making this fee applicable.
  • Non-Funded Articles: For researchers without external funding sources, we offer a reduced APC of USD 600. This rate is intended to support independent researchers and those from institutions with limited funding for open access publication.

Payment Procedure:

  1. Invoice Issuance: Once your manuscript has been accepted for publication, an invoice will be issued to you or your funding body as applicable.
  2. Payment Due: Payment must be made within 30 days of the invoice date. Detailed payment instructions will be included on the invoice.
  3. Methods of Payment: Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other agreed upon methods. Specific details and options will be provided on the invoice.

Waivers and Discounts:

  • We offer waivers and discounts on a case-by-case basis to authors from low-income countries or those who are unable to meet the APC due to financial constraints. Authors seeking financial assistance must apply for a waiver or discount at the time of submission and justify their request.

Cancellation Policy:

  • If an author wishes to withdraw their manuscript after acceptance but before publication, they may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover administrative costs and any work already performed by our editorial team.

Note on APC:

  • The APCs are mandatory for publishing in Cuestiones de Fisioterapia under the open access model and cannot be waived entirely except under special circumstances. The charges contribute directly to the open dissemination of your research and the operational costs of the journal.
