Un probletna creciente: El sindrome de burnout en profesionales de la salud

This article describes the recent xburnout syndromes by analysing several researches about this subject in different working groups, most of them developed by psychologists in the field of oc¬ cupational health.
In the course of time, the studies about Spanish health professionals are increasing, but not about physiotherapists. However, it is not difficult to intuit that our profession is one of the groups more predispose against this especific syndrome of professional stress, in view of its particular characteristics: high level of vocation, implication and service.
This study has like objective to alert about the alarming increasing of this syndrome in health professionals, to mention the causes and to describe the related symptoms of this pathology. All of this aimed to detect it quickly in order to develop strategies to retard or to avoid its appearan¬ ce. It is also necessary, both in public and in private sanitary organizations, to make an appropria¬ te management of the human resources, trying to eliminate the causes in the labour environment, in order to prevent the job stress.
