Abstract

In this article, there is a description of the postural treatment that is carried out on stroke victims after having suffered an injury to the nervous system, either as the result of an illness, a trauma or from other causes.
A series of symptoms appears in these patients to which one cannot dedicate only the time of the physical therapy session. Care must be maintained 24 hours a day, with which we are trying to avoid different types of complications: respiratory, circulatory, etc. But the basic idea is that there should be a continuation of the physiotherapeutic treatment. The care of patient alignment in different postures is essential both when they are at rest as well as when they carry out any of their daily activities.
his is because, however simple their life may be, this would mean stimuli to the nervous system, and it is necessary to make sure that they be the correct ones.
Treatment should include a real multidisciplinary team, where all the health professionals have a very important part to play. We should not forget relatives or the people who care for these patients, who are really the ones who spend the most time with the patient, and we therefore should involve them in their health care.
