Keywords:

This study has the objective to demonstrate the implication of myofascial pain syndrome in the tennis elbow. The study has been developed in a 53-year-old patient diagnosed and treated of tennis elbow. An exploration was developed to look for the presence of myofascial trigger points related with his pain. The fundamental diagnostic criterions were presence of a tight palpable band; specific local pain because of the pressure on the trigger point; recognition of this specific local pain as his habitual pain; pain limitation of the movement because of the complete stretching. Later of detect four trigger points, a treatment program of dry needling, spray and stretch and free-active mobilizations of affected joints was developed. Then of three treatment sessions the problem of the patient disappeared, which suggest the myofascial implication in the tennis elbow.
