This work studies the influence of the technique of stretching of the diaphragm in the spirometry values of the smokers depending on sex, by means of an experimental clinical test with a group equivalent control. The analysis of data consisted of difference of averages (test T) for the resistance of main hypotheses and MANOVA for the interactions between sex and treatment. The work concludes that interaction between sex and treatment is not observed, although improve the values of Forced Vital Capacity and Forced Expiratory Volume in one second in men respect to the women. On the contrary, the improvement is similar between men and women in peak flow.
