Abstract

The present work contemplates the results obtained by means of the use of the analytical physical therapy according to the concept Sohier in a person whose medical diagnosis was of chronic unspecific headache. The patient presents a pain pattern due to a superposition of many other abovementioned pain patterns to trigger points in both portions of the right sternomastoid, trigger point 1 and trigger point 2 of top right trapezius and suboccipital already described by Travell and Simon studies. We have focused the treatment not only from a point of view myofascial but also taking as our main problem the joint dysfunction. The improvement has been progressive. The treatment concluded with some guidelines of postural hygiene and treatment the trigger points of the implied musculature. We can conclude reporting the existence of a relation between the presence of myofascial trigger points in the cervical muscles and the presence of joint dysfunction in patients with headache, so like in its treatment. Nevertheless, it is not possible establish a cause-effect relationship between both issues.
