Abstract

Background:  Career plateau among nurses refers to a perceived stagnation in career progression, which may reduce motivation and engagement. This can limit innovative work behavior. In contrast, job embeddedness, which reflects nurses' attachment to their organization including links, fit, and sacrifice has been highlighted as an important buffer that  may influence both career plateau and innovation.
