Abstract

Background: Prediabetes is an intermediate state of dysglycemia associated with increased risks of type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and microvascular complications. Nurses assigned to night or rotating shifts may be particularly vulnerable because occupational schedules conflict with endogenous circadian rhythms and are frequently accompanied by sleep restriction,
