Abstract

Background: Urothelial bladder carcinoma is heterogeneous, and conventional clinicopathological variables incompletely explain recurrence, progression, and treatment resistance. C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 5 (CXCL5), which predominantly signals through CXCR2, may link  malignant urothelial cells with vascular and myeloid compartments.
