Abstract

Background: The prolonged diestrus phase in bitches poses a physiological barrier to reducing the inter-estrus interval, making hormonal induction a complex challenge lacking precise timing protocols. This study addresses this knowledge gap by evaluating the optimal stage for eCG/hCG intervention following PGF2α-induced luteolysis to determine how the diestrus 
phase influences estrus induction and conception rates and to evaluate the effect of the time elapsed from the day of nadir progesterone concentration to the initiation of the treatment
