Abstract

Background: Distal left main coronary artery disease (LMCAD) represents one of the most challenging and prognostically significant subsets of coronary artery disease because of the large myocardial territory at risk and the frequent association with complex bifurcation anatomy. Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) has historically been considered the standard revascularization strategy for significantunprotected  left main disease, particularly in patients with complex coronary anatomy.
