Background: Distal penile hypospadias represents the most common form of hypospadias, accounting for nearly 70% of cases, and continues to be a focal point of innovation in pediatric urologic and reconstructive surgery. Surgical correction aims to achieve a functionally straight penis with a terminally positioned meatus and satisfactory cosmetic appearance, while minimizing complications such as urethrocutaneous fistula, meatal stenosis, and glans dehiscence. Among the numerous operative techniques described, the tubularized incised plate (TIP) urethroplasty, popularized by Snodgrass, has emerged as the most widely adopted approach due to its reproducibility and favorable cosmetic outcomes. In contrast, anterior urethral advancement techniques, including variants of urethral mobilization and advancement without urethral plate incision, have been revisited as tissue-preserving alternatives that avoid urethral reconstruction and its associated morbidity
