Abstract

Background: The formulation aims to increase curcumin's oral bioavailability from Curcuma longa's rhizome. Curcuma longa rhizome colouring agent has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antioxidant properties. To tackle this problem, we created a curcumin formulation standardized to 95% potency in an emulsion that can be sprayed directly into the mouth. Materials& Method: The materials under scrutiny are Turmeric extract containing 95% curcumin, Sorbitol solution (non-crystallizing) Sodium Benzoate, Polysorbate, Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, Acrysol K-140, Xanthan gum, Sucralose, Butylated Hydroxyanisole, Butylated Hydroxytoluene, Menthol crystals, Orange booster (IFF), Anhydrous citric acid, Distilled water.
