Abstract

Abstract
Obesity, indicated by Body Mass Index is a risk factor for type 2 diabetes through the stimulation of insulin resistance. However, its association with glycated haemoglobin is a crucial indicator of blood-sugar control, and may vary across different populations and disease statuses. This systematic review and meta-analysis were performed to study the association between insulin resistance with body mass index and glycated haemoglobin values.
