Background: This study was conducted to assess the prevalence of root caries, class 2 malocclusion
and edentulism subjects of a known population and its management with apicoectomy,
myofunctional appliances and complete denture, respectively.
Material and methods: This study was conducted to assess the prevalence of root caries, class 2
malocclusion and edentulism subjects of a known population and its management with apicoectomy,
myofunctional appliances and complete denture, respectively. The study comprised of 100 subjects.
The subjects had been informed about the procedure and had been asked for consent. 10 out of 100
subjects did not give consent and hence, had been excluded from the study. overall, 90 subjects had
been included in the study. All the subjects had undergone oral clinical examination. The prevalence
of root caries, class 2 malocclusion and edentulism had been assessed. The findings had been
tabulated. Statistical analysis had been conducted using SPSS software.
